JESUS IS GOD

The Living Bible 1:14 And Christ[a] became a human being and lived here on earth among us and was full of loving forgiveness* and truth. And some of us have seen his glory*—the glory of the only Son of the heavenly Father!*

American Standard Version John 1:14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us (and we beheld his glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father), full of grace and truth.

The Apostle John is the author of the Gospel of John, he must have been the most trusted Apostle as Jesus gave His mom to John to take care of her needs after His death on the Cross.

John 19:26-27 When Jesus saw His mother and the disciple whom He loved standing nearby, He said to His mother, “Woman, here is your son.” 27 Then He said to the disciple, “Here is your mother.” So, from that hour, this disciple took her into his home.

John the Apostle starts his gospel with “In the Beginning” he is talking about the same 3 words that starts the book of Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

The word God in Genesis 1:1 is the Hebrew word ‘elohiym, Plural of אֱלוֹהַּ (H433) GOD.

‘elohiym is plural for GOD, therefore ‘elohiym is defined as gods.

(plural)

A. rulers, judges

B. divine ones

C. angels

D. gods

This fits the Christian view that we have the Father, the Son (the Word), and the Holy Spirit.

Let’s go back to the Gospel of John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

So, in the beginning before anything was created the Word was there, the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

So, the Word is God.

Still talking about the Word John wrights- John 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made.

This is the reason I opened this short study with John 1:14 And Christ[a] became a human being and lived here on earth among us and was full of loving forgiveness* and truth. And some of us have seen his glory*—the glory of the only Son of the heavenly Father!

Jesus Christ is God the Son/Word, Creator and Savior according to the bible.

Is Jesus the Son of God?

John the Baptist is a Prophet noted in the Koran, see written note from the islamicity.org website:

https://www.islamicity.org/.../john-the-baptist-a.../....

John the Baptist: A Prophet of Islam

In Islam, belief in all of Allah's (God) Prophets is a fundamental article of faith. A person who denies belief in any of the Prophets, be it Jesus (peace be upon him) Moses (peace be upon him), or any of the others leaves the fold of Islam.

So, John the Baptist is a Prophet of Islam, John is also considered a Prophet in the New Testament. Below are some bible verses taken from the New Testament:

KJV John 1:29-34 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

30 This is he of whom I said, after me cometh a man which is preferred before me: for he was before me.

31 And I knew him not: but that he should be made manifest to Israel, therefore am I come baptizing with water.

And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him.

33 And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.

34 And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God.

So, the Islam Prophet John the Baptist states above “And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God”.

So, John see Jesus coming and calls Him the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world, then states that He bares record (to be a witness, to bear witness, to affirm that one has seen or heard or experienced something, or that he knows it because taught by divine revelation or inspiration) that Jesus is the Son of God.

Nathanael an Apostle with-out guile (craft, deceit, subtilty) has some things to say about Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.

KJV John 1:45-49 Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, we have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.

46 And Nathanael said unto him, can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see.

47 Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!

48 Nathanael saith unto him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him, before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee.

49 Nathanael answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel.

Nathanael the Apostle, a man with no deceit states that Jesus is “the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel).

John the Baptist a Prophet of Islam, and the Apostle Nathanael make statements that Jesus is the Son of God.

Many people in the world make false witness that God has no Son, but what does scripture say?

Deuteronomy 19:15 One witness shall not rise up against a man for any iniquity, or for any sin, in any sin that he sinneth: at the mouth of two witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall the matter be established.

So, my friends, by the authority of scripture noted above, and the two witnesses John the Baptist who is a Prophet of Islam and Christianity, and the Apostle Nathanael (a man without deceit) I proclaim to you that Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph is the SON of GOD.

Receive Jesus now to have all your sins forgiven and receive Eternal Salvation.

Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Pray a simple prayer like this:

Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior.

Sinner's prayer - Wikipedia

Email me if you prayed to receive Jesus as Lord and Savior or for any questions. God calls us to Agape the world, and I love you all my friends no matter what religious background you have the Lord Jesus Christ loves you and He gave His life for you.

John 15:13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

Is Jesus the Messiah?

Today we will be using the King James Version of the Bible, there are only 2 verse in the Old Testament that have the word Messiah, see below.

Daniel 9:25 “Know and understand this: From the time the word goes out to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until the Anointed One,[f] the ruler, comes, there will be seven ‘sevens,’ and sixty-two ‘sevens.’ It will be rebuilt with streets and a trench, but in times of trouble.

And so, this prophecy of Daniel is one of the most remarkable of all the prophecies concerning the coming of (Messiah) Jesus Christ. Daniel here is declaring the very day that the Messiah is to come. When you do the math or crunch the numbers the date for the visit of the Messiah is April 6, 32 A.D. This is the exact day of Palm Sunday (triumphant entry):

John 12:9-15 Meanwhile a large crowd of Jews found out that Jesus was there and came, not only because of him but also to see Lazarus, whom he had raised from the dead. 10 So the chief priests made plans to kill Lazarus as well, 11 for on account of him many of the Jews were going over to Jesus and believing in him.

Jesus Comes to Jerusalem as King

12 The next day the great crowd that had come for the festival heard that Jesus was on his way to Jerusalem. 13 They took palm branches and went out to meet him, shouting,

“Hosanna![d]”

“Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!”[e]

“Blessed is the king of Israel!”

14 Jesus found a young donkey and sat on it, as it is written:

15 “Do not be afraid, Daughter Zion;

see, your king is coming,

seated on a donkey’s colt.”[f]

Daniel 9:26 After the sixty-two ‘sevens,’ the Anointed One will be put to death and will have nothing.[g] The people of the ruler who will come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end will come like a flood: War will continue until the end, and desolations have been decreed.

Now after the sixty-two seven-year periods [notice,] the Messiah will be cut off. Jesus was cut off (crucified) that same week. Jesus received nothing; His Kingdom is yet to come.

In 70 AD the Romans destroyed Jerusalem, there was a fire and the gold from the temple melted and went down into the cracks of the building, that‘s why there was not left one block upon another.

Witnesses to the Messiah in the New Testament:

Andrew:

John 1:40-43 Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, was one of the two who heard what John had said and who had followed Jesus. 41 The first thing Andrew did was to find his brother Simon and tell him, “We have found the Messiah” (that is, the Christ). 42 And he brought him to Jesus.

Jesus looked at him and said, “You are Simon son of John. You will be called Cephas” (which, when translated, is Peter).

The Woman at the well

John 4:25 The woman said, “I know that Messiah” (called Christ) “is coming. When he comes, he will explain everything to us.”

Jesus reaffirms Himself to be the Christ.

John 4:26 Then Jesus declared, “I, the one speaking to you—I am he.”

Daniel prophesied the date of Jesus’s recognition of being the Messiah and His death. Then we have these two New Testament Saints claiming that Jesus is the Christ the Messiah of the World. Last of all Jesus reaffirms that He is the Messiah/Christ.

Jesus is Jehovah

John 8:58 “Very truly I tell you,” Jesus answered, “before Abraham was born, I am!”

Definitions from the bible Interlinear for “I AM”

I: I, me, my

Am: to be, to exist, to happen, to be present

When Jesus said this, he was stating that He existed before the birth of Abraham “before Abraham was born, I am”.

More than that it tells us that Jesus was the “I AM” who spoke to Moses from the burning bush.

Exodus 3:3-6 “This is amazing,” Moses said to himself. “Why isn’t that bush burning up? I must go see it.”

4 When the Lord saw Moses coming to take a closer look, God called to him from the middle of the bush, “Moses! Moses!” “Here I am!” Moses replied.

5 “Do not come any closer,” the Lord warned. “Take off your sandals, for you are standing on holy ground. 6 I am the God of your father[c]—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” When Moses heard this, he covered his face because he was afraid to look at God.

Exodus 3:10 Now go, for I am sending you to Pharaoh. You must lead my people Israel out of Egypt.”

Exodus 3:13-15 But Moses protested, “If I go to the people of Israel and tell them, ‘The God of your ancestors has sent me to you,’ they will ask me, ‘What is his name?’ Then what should I tell them?”

14 God replied to Moses, “I am who i am. Say this to the people of Israel: I am has sent me to you.” 15 God also said to Moses, “Say this to the people of Israel: The LORD the God of your ancestors—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob—has sent me to you.

Definitions from the bible Interlinear for: LORD

LORD:  LORD, GOD, JEHOVAH, Jehovah = "the existing One", the proper name of the one true God.

So, when Jesus said, “before Abraham was born, I am!” He was telling the Jews that he is “Jehovah, the God of your ancestors—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac”.

LORD has same meaning as JEHOVAH

JESUS IS JEHOVAH
